About this Blog

This blog is for teens in Prince George’s County, MD to be able to find out about new and interesting things happening at the Prince George’s County Memorial Library. And by “things” I mean programs, events, books, music, and anything else that might have some appeal to teens. I’m also hoping that it can be a place where you all can feel comfortable contributing your thoughts, and learning more about the library staff that’s here to help you.

But first… we’ll call it the “fine print”

Teen Two Point…Woah!

[…] There is a lot of  great stuff on the blog, so I’m not sure where to begin.  First, the “About this Blog” page is one of the most thorough and clear that I have seen on any library blog.  In addition to stating the blog’s purpose, and explicitly inviting teens to contribute, there is also an acceptable use policy that so many other Teen Library blogs, myspace pages, and facebookaccounts are lacking.  Now, to clarify, I’m no Debbie Downer who gets tickled over long lists of rules and regulations.  Rather, I think that an acceptable use policy just makes plain sense when libraries are dealing with teens and the web.  Here is  the PGCMLS’ acceptable use policy, or as they jokingly call it, the “fine print:” […]
