Teen Job Zone

Want to earn some extra cash this summer, but have no idea how to find or land that perfect job?

No problem. You’ve entered the Teen Job Zone. Select libraries are holding interviewing and resume workshops this March and April, for teens aged 13-18.

Tips include how to ace the application process, and a guide to using Metro in order to get to the loads of interviews you’re sure to land.

Hooray! It’s finally here! Celebrate Teen Tech Week all month long (and a little into April, too) by attending any of a number of programs throughout the Library System. You can look forward to a variety of technology and music inspired programs including:

MTV Virtual Video Contest

And just so long as you’re feeling creative (you know, from rapping at RapHappy), you might as well make your own music video, too. MTV, along with Metacafe, is sponsoring a Virtual Worlds Virtual Music Video Contest.

If you enter, you’ll have access to music tracks, video clips and online editing tools to create your own music video which will be posted on Metacafe for judging. The winner will receive a Sony Vegas Pro 8 Professional AV Editing and DVD Creation System and entries are due December 2.
